  8. It is the ultimate disgrace and a showing of total incompetence when you release incorrect information to the news media. There is no way to take it back only to issue an apology with a correction ASAP. Next time, please be sure to have someone edit all correspondence, someone that is capable to do so. When is his contract up ?

    ReplyDelete
  9. He doesn't have a contract. Newburgh would be screwed if he left now, which he can leave anytime he wants. Admin. why don't you run?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Screwed if he left?
    Why?

  11. If you are not satisfied with the caliber or character of the candidates you can write in your choice. I for one will be writing in Keith Miller for selectman and urge you to do the same. Most of you know Charlie and Jeff, most of you know they are not what we need or want to represent us even for a short term, lets use our heads here and pick a sane respectable person and stop the circus show now.

  12. Bingo Anon, 3:51 does Keith even know you are writing him in? What an excellent choice, level headed, grounded with common sense, respected throughout the community a quiet mature example of a hard working life long resident without an axe to grind. Not a fixer, not a watchman, not beholding to the former regime a good neighbor and it would be hard to find anyone with something bad to say about Keith.

Good Call!!! count me in, sorry Keith you work hard, keep to your self, act with honor and respect your whole life and next thing you know people want to single you out as an example of what we need in our local government. I am so hoping you accept the challenge if enough people write you in, say the word and I think you will win by a landslide, you can go a long way to helping heal the community from your neutral and respected position.

  13. Here it is, I am taking this stand and hope others will follow the same line of thought and principals/ If Rick Briggs endoursed and or recommended, that Jeff McCain take these petitions of repeal and recall and there is more, he authorized Dean Beaupain, the lawyer to review and revamp the wording at the tax payers cost, than Briggs needs to go immediately. If Lois Libby stood by and condone's this event without reporting it to her superior, at this time, it is only Mike Burns than she bankrolled the wrong party again and needs to resigned, also. This is de-frauding the tax payer and needs to be dealt with on " the serious scale". If Briggs, Susan and Lois are padding their hours, we need to know that too. It has been reported to be, many times over. Now, that a convicted sex criminal was called in to help, Newburgh has some very serious issues. Lets get feedback and the pulse of the community on this. If Briggs convinced Jeffrey McClain to take the papers around to the residents for signature and tell lies, does anyone want to be contacted when the man of the house is not around or when your kids are home ?
Someone has potentially put the residents of Newburgh in harms way and we need to find out everyone that is involved and they deserve a harsh sentence. Let us know, what you think. Us is me and the wife, just residents, but I'm speaking my mind and opinion. We do not take sides and we enjoy all our neighbors, the mouthy ones and the quiet ones, we are all one community and want the best, for all.

  14. i'm sorry but we are not one community when someone does this. Your right, this is beyond what any community can be expected, to accept for town behavior. If this is so, we need to prove it and call in law enforcement. This is hard, but I'm for it.

  15. Has anyone found out who did hire or convince this man to go door to door, in Newburgh? We need to find this out ASAP and I say, let the chips fall as they may.

  16. I'm a little lost on this "write in" thing. How is it that all the candidates have to collect signatures to run but a write in does not? Why not just run on the write in platform and forget the signatures? I like Keith as well but am pretty sure he wants nothing to do with the job. If he wins the vote and does not take the job are we stuck with second place? That could be scary.

  17. I know several of the candidates personally, I think someone like Keith Miller would be a very good choice at this time in our moment of turmoil. If I thought for a moment Keith would step up I would have no problem writing him in and supporting him 100%.

Someone in the middle like Keith does make sense to me if he is interested, would be nice to know.

  18. Jim -

With no disrespect to you, Keith is not in the middle. Keith would have to resign from the Fire department because of a conflict of interest. Things in this town need change. Skip had a conflict of interest due to his position as President of the fire department and being selectman. Don't we want this to stop? It would be nice if a selectman had no connections to any inside organizations. ie., Library, before/after school, fire dept, fixers, etc. Jim, why didn't you step up and run? I think you would have gathered a lot of support. Maybe next year???

  19. When I speak of "in the middle" I speak politically, I do not see your reply as disrespectful at all except for the fact you did not sign it. I was aware that there was a conflict with the fire department with Keith same as there would be with my planning board position.

I had considered stepping up as you put it and throwing my hat into the ring I think it would be an interesting challenge. But after careful consideration and the reality of my travel commitments related to my job I realized it would be improbable that I could make 50% of the selectmen's meetings. If my situation changes in the future I would be glad to give it a try and hope enough people would trust me to do the right thing and vote for me.

In the mean time I am sorry you do not see it but a person just like Keith Miller would still be my top choice to fill this short term quagmire and assure we have a fair and politically neutral solution to help bring the town back together while moving forward.

  20. Great Reply Amy, you have got to nip this kind of crap in the beginning. It was not Mike, it was Blecher's trailer that entertained, Mr. McClain and has been for some time. Mr. McClain's black Satern has been seen there many times. Why would someone try to spead falsehoods? The truth will survive, get on board of the honesty wagon.

  21. If Keith Miller wanted to step up he would have stop spreading rumors. The fact of the matter is who would want to step up and be a selectman when Helen Mogan did nothing but good for this town and she was bashed for speaking out 13 yrs after she was voted out. There was no money missing during her term. There is nothing binging said about Leona Smith Buddy and Skip and there involvement with the theft of our money our lives our town reputation. Leona still has her arrogant attitude where is she to help the children she proclaimed to be her theme to run on all these years. We as tax payers were assured at every meeting that there was no danger of sex offenders coming into our school/town office. Now it seems he was brought in with the full blessing of Lois/Briggs . DO not expect Mike Burns to clean up in a few months the mess that has gone on for 10 yrs look at the ones who got us here, leona,Buddy,Skip,Nancy,Cindy,Lois, and last but not least Tricky Rick. so let us not be to harsh on Mike give him a chance to get a board of selectmen. Mr Mclain is a product of Lois and Rick they put him up to this they will stoop to nothing to keep there jobs and the money train coming. Your children mean nothing to that town office or to sad#22.

  23. Finally, after a long road we are on the brink of recovery. The Smith, Smith and Belcher Clan , are now history. The citizens came through. Once again, true democracy works, you just have to place your faith in the town people to know what's wrong and out of hand and what is best for the town. A big Thanks to all. We can now watch the re-birth of Newburgh.
Not to say a lot of help will be needed and appreciated along the way but it sure looks promising, now.
Just a few more blocking points to remove and most know who and what that is. We do have at least one pending court case that needs follow-up and input on, to help persuade the District Attorney that Ms. Dunton may think it's all behind her and everything is hunky dory however, a long prison sentence will allow her ample time to get in touch with whomever she feels, she needs and that would be good. I hope she starts informing with more facts and that it is proven that Alan took a big part in it all as we all know he did. We all know she took her Florida vacations and Alan bought a Commercial Grader, how many home owners can do that for their home use ? They also cashed in all their new vehicles so they would not get seized before the law came a knocking. No plan here, so she stated and why did she get done at The Bangor Daily News several years ago ? Many people in town certainly know. There still remains, the rest of the story.

  24. Now that the elections are over we must move very slowly and not make any rash decisions. I have estimated that if there are cuts made and changes to the town office that could have a negative impact on the towns overall unemployment ratio. For example if Ricky left that leaves Lois in limbo, if Lois leaves and her family is not rehired then the town unemployment rate could soar to 15% or more. Having some of the highest unemployment outside of Detroit MI is not a message we want to send to the many prospective businesses looking to set up shop in our town.

Suggest we give Lois another raise to avoid the distinction of the highest unemployment rate in New England, after all she failed to report the Dunton theft to the slectmen for 4-5 months and got a nice raise out of that so we have that brilliant move to guide us. We could pick up her overpaid insurance costs, no never mind we did that too. We could offer to bing back the Christmas bonus program or a couple of extra weeks vacation with Nancy at the Freyburgh fair this year, or just give her Ricky's office that might work.

What ever you do selectmen, as with the past administration do not use your heads and make a clean sweep, make sure you think with you hearts when it comes to Lois. If you start to weaken and slip just think about Buddy when he was a boy buying his fishing lic. at Lois's kitchen table (even thought he grew up in Winterport). If you let that wonderful lady go you are crazy and may be grounds to test out the new recall ordinance.

We can not afford to loose her no matter what she may have done, she is pure and innocent and another victim of no oversight much like Cindy claims she was and it is obvious Nancy was.

  25. We all tried to tell you, we had it good before my entire family knew the town was in trouble and all you people could do was attack us when we told you.

Well you made your bed go ahead and sleep in it.

  26. Who is the "we" you are referring to, (WE tried to tell you)? "we" and it good, "we who"? and "all you people" who are you referring to "all you people"?? and now "Well "you" and who is this referring to "made your bed go ahead and sleep in it"! Can you please make reference to your comment.
